We are looking for a proactive Microsoft 365 and SharePoint specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing a high-quality, professional client experience.
Schedule: Western Australia Time – 7am to 4pm
Responsibilities
Technical Support Provide remote support for:
- Windows desktops and laptops
- Servers and core infrastructure
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and user environment issues
- Diagnose issues efficiently and implement long-term fixes where possible
- Think critically and “outside the box” to resolve problems remotely
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while attempting resolution first
Microsoft 365 Administration (Core Requirement) Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including:
- User and group management
- License assignment
- Exchange Online (mailboxes, shared mailboxes, permissions)
- Teams and OneDrive
- SharePoint Online
- Troubleshoot: Outlook issues, OneDrive and SharePoint sync problems, and Access/permission-related issues
- Apply Microsoft 365 best practices for: Security, Permissions, and Tenant hygiene/governance
SharePoint Online Administration (Mandatory)
- Manage SharePoint Online sites and document libraries
- Configure and maintain permissions and access control
- Assist with site structure and document management
- Troubleshoot SharePoint and OneDrive sync and access issues
- Support users working both online and via synced libraries
Security & Endpoint Protection
- Support and maintain endpoint security using ESET Security Software
- Previous ESET experience is highly desirable
- Where experience is limited: Training and certification will be provided; Completion of the required ESET course will be mandatory
- Maintain strong security awareness when performing all support tasks
- Apply least-privilege and best-practice security principles at all times
Automation & Modern Workplace (Bonus Skills)
- Familiarity with: Microsoft Forms, Power Automate
- Ability to assist with simple workflow automations
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
- Perform routine administrative tasks consistently and reliably, including: Backup monitoring, Restore testing, Security checks, and Health checks
- Use Syncro MSP as the primary RMM and PSA system
- Maintain accurate and detailed ticket notes
- Update and follow client documentation and SOPs
Ticket Ownership & Documentation
- Take full ownership of tickets from start to resolution
- Communicate clearly with users and internal team members
- Ensure tickets are: Properly documented, Updated regularly, and Closed with clear resolution notes
- Maintain and improve documentation where required
Client Experience & Professional Conduct
- Provide courteous, professional, and respectful support at all times
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally with clients
- Minimize disruption to users during troubleshooting
- Demonstrate patience and empathy when assisting non-technical users
- Represent CyberWest Solutions professionally in all interactions
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in a IT Support or Systems Administrator role
- Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment (Preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, server, and Microsoft environments
- Solid experience administering Microsoft 365
- SharePoint Online administration experience
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
Certifications (Required / Strongly Preferred) At least one Microsoft certification, such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop / Endpoint Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900 minimum baseline)
Highly Desirable
- Experience using Syncro MSP
- Experience with ESET Security Software
- Backup monitoring and restore testing experience
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices
- Experience supporting Australian clients
