Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded E-Commerce SEO & Content Marketing Specialist to drive organic growth across a portfolio of digital storefronts. This role sits at the intersection of technical search engine optimization, revenue-driven content strategy, and retention marketing. Rather than executing disjointed marketing tasks, you will be the core driver of organic traffic acquisition, responsible for improving search engine visibility, running multi-channel email campaigns, and removing friction points to transform search intent into online conversions.
Client Overview
Our client is a growing ecommerce business operating multiple online stores in the UK market. Their focus is on building strong organic growth, improving customer engagement, and increasing ecommerce sales through effective digital marketing strategies. They are looking to support and strengthen their in-house marketing efforts across several ecommerce websites.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM UK Time, with 30 minutes unpaid break (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Support and execute digital marketing activities across three active ecommerce websites.
- Maintain consistent branding across website content, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Plan, create, and schedule blog posts, website updates, and social media content.
- Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for increasing organic traffic and ecommerce sales.
- Perform SEO audits and implement on-page SEO improvements including meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, and content optimisation.
- Develop and optimise product pages, category pages, landing pages, and blog content to improve organic rankings and conversion performance.
- Identify and support technical SEO improvements related to crawlability, indexing, site speed, and structured data.
- Monitor organic rankings, website traffic, conversions, and ecommerce sales performance.
- Produce regular reports on SEO performance, campaign effectiveness, and marketing activity.
- Set up and manage email marketing campaigns to improve customer engagement and retention.
- Coordinate content calendars to ensure timely and consistent publishing across all marketing channels.
- Work closely with the internal team to align marketing activity with commercial priorities and seasonal campaigns.
- Send customer communications when required, including delivery updates based on stock availability.
Requirements
- Strong experience with e-commerce SEO strategies, including optimization of category pages, product pages, and internal linking.
- Proven experience in digital marketing with strong hands-on SEO expertise.
- Demonstrated success increasing organic traffic, search rankings, and ecommerce sales.
- Experience using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills for blogs, social media, and email campaigns.
- Experience managing email marketing campaigns and customer engagement workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and optimise campaigns.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across several websites.
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
