MYOB Xero Bookkeeper

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to support both the financial and operational sides of their growing manufacturing business. You will manage bookkeeping functions using cloud-based accounting software while handling customer communication and day-to-day administrative coordination. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Financial Administration: Manage operations using MYOB or Xero, perform data entry, maintain accurate financial records, and reconcile documentation.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, manage and prioritize daily tasks, and maintain organized records and workflows.
  • Customer Communication & Sales Support: Review and respond to customer emails and sales inquiries promptly; handle incoming support and sales calls during business hours.
  • Operational Coordination: Support workflow management during peak production periods, assist with delegation of activities, and help improve efficiency in day-to-day processes.
  • Engagement: Collaborate directly with the business owner on a month-to-month basis to support operational scaling during busy production cycles.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar cloud-based bookkeeping platforms
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping and administrative support roles
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable handling both financial and customer-facing responsibilities
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or production-focused businesses (Preferred)
