Drafter / Architectural Millwork Drafter

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Millwork Drafter to join our specialized team focused on high-end custom fabrication for premium cabinets, bars, and interior panels. In this role, you will transform complex architectural and interior design concepts into precise, fabrication-ready shop drawings to support our growing production workflow.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time (40 hours/week, 8 hours/day)

Responsibilities:

  • Convert client specifications, interior design plans, and floor plans into detailed fabrication drawings for millwork manufacturing.
  • Produce shop drawings for architectural millwork including panels, kitchen cabinets, bars, and custom architectural elements.
  • Collaborate with the existing drafting team to support high-volume periods and maintain production timelines.
  • Ensure all fabrication drawings meet manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide drafting support on an as-needed basis to prevent workflow bottlenecks and project delays.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience creating fabrication drawings or shop drawings for architectural millwork or similar manufacturing applications.
  • Strong proficiency in drafting software commonly used for architectural millwork and fabrication drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret specifications, interior design plans, and floor plans accurately.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Background in architecture, interior design, or engineering disciplines.
  • Experience working with millwork manufacturing companies or an understanding of cabinet and panel fabrication processes.
