Job Overview
We are a fast-growing, design-led retailer seeking a creative Design Specialist (2020 Design) to support our high-velocity sales team across North America. In this role, you will be the behind-the-scenes horsepower turning design mark-ups into dimensionally precise drawings, photorealistic renderings, detailed proposals, and contract packages. With zero direct client interaction, your success will be measured by your speed, accuracy, and ability to help shorten the quote-to-close cycle. This independent contractor position is ideal for an organized professional who thrives on meeting tight deadlines with minimal rework.
Schedule
Mon-Fri, 9 am - 6 pm EST time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities
- Produce and revise 2020 Design drawings and high-resolution renderings
- Generate itemised proposals and pricing sheets from established templates
- Draft contract agreements ready for e-signature
- Maintain version-controlled file structures and update status in the CRM
- Flag scope changes or spec conflicts to sales before they hit the client
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience with 2020 Design (cabinetry, kitchen, or bath focus)
- Portfolio demonstrating advanced rendering and layout accuracy
- Track record of meeting tight, multi-project deadlines with minimal rework
- Strong written English; able to craft clear, persuasive proposal language
- Comfortable working 100 % remotely with reliable hardware, high-speed internet, and backup power
- AutoCAD or SketchUp proficiency is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting a high-velocity sales team, or familiarity with DocuSign and CRM/ERP platforms, is highly preferred.
