Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior NetSuite Accountant (Inventory & Cost Accounting) to take ownership of the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, managing billing and cost variances, and ensuring all financial data is organized and CPA-ready within Oracle NetSuite. The ideal candidate has strong NetSuite expertise in an inventory or manufacturing environment, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently while driving process improvements and documentation.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST | With 1-hour break
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions including Stripe/PayPal fees are accurately recorded in NetSuite
- Monitor and manage billing queues, audit customer deposit applications to keep A/R aging clean, and enter Landed Costs (freight/duties) onto Item Receipts
- Review and resolve variances between purchase orders, vendor billing, and actual costs using NetSuite’s variance processes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries from leadership and our CPA (Abid)
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and manage the Month-End Close checklist to ensure the books are CPA-ready
- Prepare financial reports and summaries (specifically Gross Profit by Sales Order) to provide visibility into the company's financial health
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with Oracle NetSuite as a primary ERP/accounting platform specifically in an inventory or manufacturing environment
- The Technical Test: Must be able to explain how to find fulfilled but unbilled orders, and how NetSuite handles Negative Inventory
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including reconciliation, accounts payable, and cost accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, high level of attention to detail, and accuracy in financial data management
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the accounting function, including documenting custom workflows into SOPs during the first 30 days
Scope:

- Proactively identify discrepancies and financial risks before they escalate
- Support the leadership team with real-time financial insights and reporting
