Job Overview
We are seeking a driven Business Development Representative with experience in B2B sales and recruitment outreach to generate new business opportunities within the AI and tech sectors. In this role, you will conduct high-volume outbound calls, engage hiring decision-makers, and build a strong pipeline of prospective clients across the UK and US markets. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with strong objection-handling skills, a self-starter mindset, and a proven ability to convert conversations into long-term client relationships while achieving ambitious performance targets. 

Schedule: 

  • Full-time, dedicated role working 10:00 AM–6:00 PM GMT, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to prospective clients within the AI and tech sector
  • Identify and engage hiring managers and decision-makers to generate new recruitment business
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects through consistent daily outreach
  • Schedule discovery meetings and convert initial conversations into active client relationships
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to align outreach strategy with target market positioning
  • Track all outreach activity and report on key performance metrics including placements secured

Requirements:

  • Recent, at least 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or recruitment-based outreach
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with a natural, conversational phone manner
  • Strong ability to handle objections and navigate complex sales conversations with confidence
  • Familiarity with the UK and US recruitment markets and professional hiring processes
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet ambitious performance targets
  • High level of professionalism and relationship-building skills to protect client reputation

Scope:

  • Focus on outbound prospecting within the AI and technology recruitment niche
  • Lead lists will be provided; primary focus is on outreach execution and client conversion
  • Performance target of a minimum of two client placements within the first month
  • Opportunity for significant placement-based bonuses on top of base compensation
