Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and versatile Social Media Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, content creation, and community management support. The ideal candidate will help streamline business operations, manage scheduling chaos, and maintain a consistent, engaging, and creative online presence.
Schedule:
- 20hrs/week, flexible within Southern California, US business hours
Responsibilities:
Social Media, Content Creation & Community Management
- Content Production & Assembly: Take raw assets provided by the client (videos, pictures, or copy) and build them into polished, platform-ready graphics or reels.
- Content Scheduling & Publishing: Organize, schedule, and publish completed content consistently across all social media platforms.
- Platform Integration: Coordinate social media postings with corresponding blog posts to ensure a continuous and cohesive content strategy.
- Engagement: Act as the community manager by keeping up with audience engagement, responding to comments/messages, and maintaining an active online presence.
- Video & Graphic Editing: Perform necessary video adjustments (trimming, cutting, adding text/audio) and design graphics using Canva to ensure high-quality visual output.
Administrative Support & Calendar Management
- Email Management: Oversee and organize the client's inbox to ensure timely responses and streamlined communication.
- Calendar Organization: Manage back-to-back meeting schedules and calendar appointments to help the client stay organized and on track.
- Systems Support: Assist with business operations utilizing Zoho.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Canva (for graphic creation), Zoho support, and standard social media platform backend editors (e.g., Instagram Reels builder/editor).
- Proven experience in building reels/graphics from raw assets, content scheduling, community management, and aligning social channels with blog workflows. (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Exceptional organizational skills, high adaptability to handle a fast-paced environment, and strong self-management capabilities.
