In this role, you will drive business growth by conducting outbound cold calls, engaging with business owners, and scheduling qualified consultations for the field sales team. Schedule
- Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting from 9:00 AM GMT (UK Business Hours)
Responsibilities
Outbound Sales & Lead Generation
- Conduct outbound calls to small and medium-sized businesses across the UK market
- Introduce payment solutions and identify potential business opportunities
- Engage professionally with business owners and decision-makers
- Research and identify prospective companies within targeted industries and regions
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
Appointment Setting & Sales Support
- Qualify prospects based on business needs and suitability
- Schedule in-person consultations and meetings for field sales representatives
- Clearly communicate the value of payment solutions and consultancy services
- Handle initial objections and generate interest through effective conversations
- Ensure a smooth handoff of qualified appointments to the sales team
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, and follow-up activities
- Track appointment outcomes and prospect engagement
- Organize lead lists and ensure consistent follow-up processes
- Provide regular updates on outreach activity, conversions, and market feedback
- Collaborate with the team to improve targeting and messaging strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B outbound sales, cold calling, appointment setting, or lead generation
- Strong English verbal communication skills with a confident and professional phone presence
- Ability to engage with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Experience researching and qualifying prospects independently
- Strong organizational skills to manage outreach activity and follow-ups
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Ability to maintain consistent activity levels and work toward appointment targets
- Availability during UK business hours
Highly Regarded Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in fintech, payment processing, SaaS, financial services, or technology sales
- Experience supporting field sales representatives or territory-based sales teams
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- Knowledge of UK SME markets and business environments
- Experience generating leads through cold calling and online research
