Sales Development Representative (Security Systems – Outbound Sales)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive high-volume outbound sales for residential and commercial security system solutions.

This role focuses on cold calling, lead qualification, objection handling, and appointment setting, supporting the growth of intrusion alarm systems, CCTV solutions, and residential security financing programs.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, highly persistent, and thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment.


Key Responsibilities

Outbound Sales & Lead Generation

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calling to residential and commercial prospects
  • Generate and qualify leads for alarm systems and security solutions
  • Identify decision-makers and assess customer needs effectively
  • Maintain a structured and persistent outreach strategy to build a strong sales pipeline

Sales Conversion & Appointment Setting

  • Handle objections and professional pushbacks during cold outreach
  • Book qualified sales appointments directly into the business owner’s calendar
  • Coordinate live transfers to senior sales or closing teams where applicable
  • Ensure all leads are properly documented and tracked in CRM systems

Product Communication & Customer Engagement

  • Clearly explain security solutions including CCTV, alarm systems, and sensors
  • Communicate technical product benefits in a simple, customer-friendly manner
  • Maintain a professional and persuasive tone throughout all interactions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-volume outbound sales, cold calling, or lead generation
  • Strong background in SDR, telemarketing, or appointment setting roles
  • Experience in SaaS, IT, or other tech-based industries is highly preferred (plus)
  • Strong sales experience is required
  • Experience in security systems, SaaS, IT, or technical products is a strong advantage
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong phone presence
  • Highly self-motivated, resilient, and goal-driven personality
  • Ability to handle objections confidently and professionally
  • Availability to work US Central Time business hours (Monday–Friday)

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with security systems (alarms, CCTV, sensors)
  • Experience working with blueprints, estimates, or technical sales environments
  • Prior experience handling B2C and B2B cold outreach campaigns
  • CRM experience (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
