Social Commerce & E-Commerce Assistant (Substack & Shopify)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented, design-savvy professional who can seamlessly manage Shopify inventory workflows, marketplace integrations, and social commerce operations. If you have hands-on Substack experience, a strong command of Canva, and a refined eye for modern visual storytelling, they want to hear from you. You should be confident navigating Instagram and TikTok storefront features while maintaining a polished, consistent brand voice across all channels. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, independent problem-solving, and the ability to execute complex projects with minimal supervision. Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EST (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Shopify Catalog Management: Manage and maintain real-time product inventory, optimize storefront listings, and handle order fulfillment through Shopify across multiple digital sales channels.
  • Social Commerce Integration: Set up, configure, and manage native Instagram Shop and TikTok Shop integrations to expand the brand's online sales presence and revenue streams.
  • Visual Asset Creation: Create visually compelling, on-brand graphics and promotional digital content using Canva, utilizing foundational design materials provided by ownership.
  • Email Marketing & Newsletters: Draft, schedule, and distribute professional client newsletters and targeted email campaigns via Substack to systematically grow and nurture the active subscriber base.
  • Client Experience & Administration: Manage inbound and outbound client communications and execute post-appointment follow-ups through the Boulevard booking system; support day-to-day administrative tracking tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience with Substack
  • E-Commerce Platform Footprint: Demonstrated professional experience operating inside Shopify, specifically focused on stock inventory workflows and cross-channel marketplace integrations.
  • Design & Visual Sensibility: Strong design sensibility and proven proficiency in Canva, showing a developed eye for modern aesthetics, layout spacing, and current visual trends.
  • Social Commerce Literacy: Practical familiarity with social media architectures (Instagram and TikTok), particularly their commercial storefront, tag, and checkout features.
  • Linguistic Standard: Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, polished brand voice across client channels.
  • Operational Agility: High level of attention to detail, strong time management habits, and the proven reliability needed to complete complex projects independently without direct supervision.
