DME Contracting & Payer Enrollment Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented DME Contracting & Payer Enrollment Specialist to support their U.S.-based Durable Medical Equipment (DME) operations. This specialized role focuses entirely on the strategic execution of DME payer contracting, supplier credentialing, insurance network participation, and electronic billing setups.

  • Payer Pipeline Follow-Up: Maintain assertive, proactive communication pipelines with insurance network representatives to audit application progress, resolve pending data requests, and lock down effective network dates.
  • Credentialing Maintenance: Oversee, track, and execute time-sensitive revalidations, recredentialing requests, and rolling contract renewal milestones for all active DME supplier locations.

Corporate Documentation & Electronic Setup

  • Compliance Packaging: Coordinate and compile corporate verification packets, including corporate W-9s, professional liability insurance certificates, licensure validations, and operational business details.
  • Clearinghouse & Billing Integration: Facilitate backend billing enrollment infrastructures by setting up Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) pathways via central clearinghouses and individual insurance portals.
  • Data Hygiene: Keep internal database tracking systems, compliance sheets, and network matrix logs completely up to date with real-time enrollment statuses and official payer correspondence.

  • US Healthcare Fluency: Deep practical comprehension of the United States DME payer ecosystem, national carrier requirements, and supplier enrollment structures.
  • Technical Workspace Agility: High proficiency navigating online insurance portals, centralized medical databases, Microsoft Excel matrix tracking, and SharePoint clouds.
  • Communication Delivery: Superb written and verbal English communication skills, characterized by a highly professional, confident, and persuasive approach when handling insurance representatives.
  • Pipeline Management: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven knack for managing multiple multi-step enrollment cycles simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Advanced technical knowledge of clearinghouse routing, active EFT/ERA enrollment mechanics, and electronic data interchange (EDI) setup.
  • Solid fundamental grasp of HCPCS coding and specialized DME billing terminology.
  • Prior history successfully supporting US-based durable medical equipment operations from a fully remote framework.
