Sydney Injury Doctors is a specialist practice handling work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and medico-legal matters. Our client is seeking a reliable, organized Medical Receptionist to manage patient communications and administrative workflow from home.
Schedule
- Flexible during client business hours - AEST (20 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries professionally
- Schedule and confirm appointments, including independent medical examinations (IMEs)
- Maintain accurate patient records in our cloud-based practice management system
- Process billing and payments (workers compensation, CTP/icare, private)
- Follow up and chase outstanding invoices and unpaid accounts to ensure timely payment
- Liaise with insurers, employers, solicitors, and healthcare providers
- Prepare and submit medico-legal documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy legislation
Requirements
- Experience in medical reception or admin (injury management, workers compensation, or medico-legal highly regarded)
- Familiarity with practice management software (e.g., Genie, Best Practice, Medical Director)
- Understanding of billing processes
- Confidence following up on overdue accounts in a professional, persistent manner
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently without on-site supervision
- A quiet, private home workspace and reliable high-speed internet
