Content & Community Manager

Role Overview:

We're looking for a mid-to-senior level Social Media Manager with proven graphic design skills to support the agency's digital presence and content production across client accounts. The previous hire in this role struggled to meet the agency's design standards — so this replacement needs to come in with a strong portfolio and the ability to produce polished, on-brand visuals independently from day one. You'll work directly with agency leadership and handle both strategy and execution across multiple brand verticals.

About the Client:

An award-winning, full-service public relations and digital agency based in Toronto, Canada. They work with a diverse portfolio of brands across luxury real estate, lifestyle, beauty, food & beverage, and tech — securing coverage in major national outlets and running campaigns that consistently exceed KPIs. They're a boutique agency with a strong visual identity and high aesthetic standards across everything they publish.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (Eastern Time-Canada, 20 hours per week/4 hours per day)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality, platform-optimized graphics and visual content for the agency and its clients across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and X
  • Develop and manage content calendars that align with campaign timelines and client launch schedules
  • Execute social media strategies that drive engagement, community growth, and brand consistency across multiple accounts
  • Adapt visual content to suit the tone and aesthetic of diverse client brands — from luxury real estate to lifestyle and beauty
  • Monitor and report on social media performance metrics, using data to refine content and posting strategy
  • Manage community engagement — responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner
  • Collaborate with agency leadership on creative direction for PR campaigns and client launches

Requirements:

  • Must-Have
    • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in social media management with a strong design component
    • Portfolio demonstrating graphic design work created specifically for social media — must be submitted and reviewed prior to the interview
    • Proficiency in Canva Pro or Adobe Creative Suite, with demonstrated ability to produce polished content independently
    • Experience managing multiple brand accounts simultaneously, each with distinct visual identities
    • Strong understanding of platform-specific formats, trends, and best practices across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
    • Ability to adapt design style to match different brand aesthetics without losing quality
    • Experience using analytics to inform and improve content strategy
  • Nice-to-Have
    • Background working in PR, marketing, or creative agencies
    • Experience with luxury, lifestyle, or consumer brand social media
    • Basic video editing skills for Reels or TikTok content
    • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite

Work Set-up:

  • Fully remote
  • Reports directly to agency leadership
  • Tools: Canva Pro or Adobe Creative Suite; standard social media and analytics platforms

Why Apply?

  • Work with a recognized, award-winning agency with a diverse and high-profile client roster
  • Pure creative scope — no administrative work, focused entirely on social media and design
  • Direct visibility with agency leadership and real creative input on client campaigns

Independent Contractor Perks:

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
