Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to complete working drawings and manage technical documentation for residential and commercial projects. This role requires immediate availability during Australian business hours with strong communication and responsiveness throughout the workday. The position involves working collaboratively with designers and completing technical tasks independently under supervision.

Client Overview

Our client is a boutique architectural firm specializing in residential and commercial design projects. The team consists of five professionals focused on delivering high-quality architectural solutions primarily across the residential sector.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Complete working drawings from preliminary designs provided by the design team
• Process and implement RFIs (Requests for Information) from developers and surveyors into project drawings
• Amend and update drawings based on technical feedback and regulatory requirements
• Prepare town planning drawings as required for project submissions
• Maintain ongoing communication with designers throughout business hours for task coordination and supervision

Requirements

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD software (essential requirement as this is the sole program used)
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in architectural drafting with preference for 8-10 years experience working with residential architectural projects

Nice-To-Have Requirements

• Knowledge of Australian building regulations and compliance standards, particularly Victorian regulations
• Previous experience working for Australian architectural firms or familiarity with Australian construction standards
