Overview:

Our client is a motorsport magazine with a diverse media presence across online, digital, and print publications. They maintain an active social media presence and are looking to expand their digital content strategy with a more aggressive approach to social media engagement.

We are seeking a full-time Motorsport Journalist & Social Media Specialist (WordPress & MS Word) to join our client's editorial team. This role requires a versatile writer who can create engaging motorsport content across multiple platforms including websites, publications, and social media channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming news stories, media releases, and motorsport activities into compelling content for various digital platforms.

Schedule:  Flexible during client business hours, Mon - Fri | Full-time, 40 hours per week | Australian Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

• Write news stories and articles based on motorsport activities, events, and industry developments for the website and publications

• Transform media releases and industry information into engaging content suitable for various platforms

• Create and manage social media content with an aggressive and engaging approach to audience growth

• Generate visual content for social media posts using design tools

• Adapt written content for different formats including website articles, digital publications, and social media posts

Must-Have Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating content creation skills

• Proven experience writing motorsport-related content or strong knowledge of the motorsport industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and WordPress content management system

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write engaging, error-free content across multiple formats

• Experience creating and managing social media content with demonstrated results

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools for creating social media visuals

• Experience working with online publications or digital magazines
