Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator (Bluebeam) to support tender preparation and submission processes for a growing construction project management company. In this remote role, you will review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, and build BOQs from scratch for smaller projects. You will also use tools like Bluebeam and estimating software to input rate buildups and compile professional tender packages. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical and writing skills, with potential to expand to full-time.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, flexible during client business hours AEST time (20 hours/week)

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents including Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and construction drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings using software like Bluebeam to cross-check against provided BOQs.
• Create BOQs from scratch for smaller projects by extracting data directly from construction drawings.
• Input rate buildups and project data into estimating software (Project Estimator by Pronomics or similar platforms).
• Prepare comprehensive tender submission packages including cover letters, company CVs, project experience documentation, and client reports in professional Word document format.
• Review and finalize pricing with the team, then compile all documents into PDF format for final submission.
• Write professional project capability statements demonstrating understanding of scope and capacity to deliver the work.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimation and tender preparation.
• Proficiency in quantity takeoff processes and reading construction drawings.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for BOQ management and data organization.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing capability statements and tender responses.
• Experience with Bluebeam software for quantity takeoffs and drawing markups is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Project Estimator by Pronomics or similar construction estimating software platforms is highly preferred.
• Experience preparing professional tender submission documentation and client-facing reports is highly preferred.
