Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant (Personal Injury) to support our legal team with comprehensive case file management and administrative support. In this role, you will be responsible for creating new case files, maintaining accurate client profiles, and managing high-volume documentation across our case management system and OneDrive. Additionally, you will request, track, and summarize medical bills, treatment records, and police accident reports.

 

Job Highlights

Schedule: Mon-Fri,9:00 AM – 5:00 CST with 30-minute paid break

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and organize new case files for incoming personal injury clients across multiple platforms
  • Upload and maintain legal documents in the firm's case management system and OneDrive storage
  • Monitor shared office email inbox and update client profiles with medical findings and provider correspondence
  • Request and track medical bills and records from healthcare providers including imaging centers and chiropractors
  • Order and follow up on police records related to client accidents
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client face sheets with medical summaries and case details

 

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in personal injury law is a must
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of documentation
  • High level of attention to detail when handling medical records and legal files
  • Excellent written communication skills for professional correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced legal setting
  • Familiarity with cloud-based document storage and file management systems
