Outbound Sales Development Representative

Job Overview

We're seeking a high-performing Sales Development Representative to join the outbound sales team. This role is focused on high-volume cold calling, lead generation, and appointment setting across food service and related industries. You will be responsible for identifying decision-makers, generating interest in staffing solutions, and booking qualified meetings for the internal sales team. This is a full-time, phone-intensive role requiring strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outbound environment.

Client Overview

Our client is a fast-growing staffing and workforce solutions provider specializing in delivering reliable talent for food service, hospitality, healthcare, and large-scale venue operations. The company supports clients across high-volume environments by supplying qualified temporary-to-permanent and permanent staffing solutions tailored to operational needs.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with 30 minutes paid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to food and beverage managers, general managers, kitchen managers, and facility decision-makers
  • Identify and qualify key decision-makers across hospitality, healthcare, events, food service venues, and large organizations
  • Present staffing services at an introductory level to generate interest and open opportunities
  • Schedule qualified appointments and hand off warm leads to the internal sales team for closing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records including call activity, lead status, and follow-ups
  • Research and build targeted prospect lists across multiple food service verticals
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly outreach and appointment-setting targets
  • Support ongoing expansion efforts starting in New York, with potential multi-state growth

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in outbound cold calling, telemarketing, or B2B lead generation
  • Proven ability to handle gatekeepers and reach senior decision-makers
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume outreach and follow-ups
  • Experience in staffing, hospitality, or food service industries is a plus
