Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Social Media Manager who will serve as the real-time engine on the Content Development team, responsible for publishing social content quickly and keeping the firm active in live conversations across X, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The role exists to compress the time between idea and published post, moving at the pace of each platform rather than the pace of long-form production. It owns the daily posting cadence, community engagement, and platform-native craft, turning the team's thinking into timely, native content while conversations are still current. It works alongside the Head of Content Development on voice and editorial direction, and partners with the Content Production Strategist and Content Author on adapting long-form thought leadership into fast social assets. The role is measured on speed to publish, consistency of presence, and the engagement and audience growth that follow.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time plus 3 flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Publish daily across X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, owning the posting cadence and keeping every channel active on schedule without long approval cycles
  • Draft, produce, and ship platform-native social content within hours, not days, holding speed to publish as a primary measure of the role
  • Join live conversations on X, Instagram, and LinkedIn in real time, replying, commenting, and engaging from the company and executive accounts while topics are current
  • Monitor social channels continuously for comments, mentions, trends, and engagement signals, and act on the timely ones the same day
  • Adapt long-form thought leadership into short-form, platform-native posts that match the voice and conventions of each channel
  • Identify trending topics, cultural moments, and industry conversations the company can credibly join, and move quickly to participate
  • Run a lightweight publishing workflow that cuts cycle time, streamlining drafting, review, and scheduling so content ships faster than the team moves today
  • Build and maintain a content calendar and a bank of ready-to-post assets so the channels never go quiet
  • Schedule and distribute approved content across the firm's owned and social channels, hitting the editorial calendar's cadence
  • Grow the companies' following and engagement on each platform through consistent presence, sharp copy, and active community management
  • Track platform performance daily and weekly, reporting reach, engagement, and growth, and feeding insight back into what to post next
  • Coordinate with the Head of Content Development on voice, quality, and final standards while operating with the autonomy to publish at speed
  • Use AI tools, Canva and custom GPTs to accelerate drafting, adaptation, and scheduling while keeping originality and a human voice

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing social media for a company, agency, or brand
  • Proven experience managing LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Instagram business accounts
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills with an understanding of platform-specific best practices
  • Experience using Canva and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Custom GPTs, or similar) to create and adapt content efficiently
  • Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools
  • Experience in B2B marketing, thought leadership, or professional services marketing is preferred
