Senior Accountant (NetSuite)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant (NetSuite) who functions as a Manager to oversee our complex Month-End Close processes during US business hours. This role is responsible for ensuring the absolute accuracy and integrity of financial data while optimizing our accounting operations. As a key team member, you will leverage deep NetSuite expertise to streamline workflows for our modern packaging and production network company. This full-time, permanent work-from-home position offers a consistent schedule (40 hours per week) and immediate hiring.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5 pm or 10 am - 6 pm PST (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Ensure all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements are completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • NetSuite Administration & Optimization: Act as the primary user for NetSuite. Manage data entry, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize workflows to improve financial reporting and automated processes.
  • General Ledger Management: Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Accounts Analysis: Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts for discrepancies; provide detailed variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget).
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Maintain internal controls and support annual audit requests by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate current accounting procedures and recommend improvements to increase scalability and accuracy.

Requirements

  • ERP Mastery: Advanced, hands-on experience with NetSuite is a non-negotiable requirement (saved searches, reporting, and core accounting modules).
  • Advanced Excel: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Cloud Accounting: Proficiency in modern financial tech stacks and integration tools.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Senior-level role.
  • Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
