Overview
We are seeking a creative, organized, and tech-savvy Social Media Specialist to manage and grow the online presence of multiple brands across various social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about digital marketing, content creation, community engagement, and leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate combines creativity with analytical thinking, understands social media best practices, and can create compelling content that drives engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM New Haven, CT Eastern Time, with a 1-hour unpaid break (7Hours a Day/35 hours per week)
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Scheduling
- Develop, create, and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Yelp, and Google Business Profile.
- Write compelling, brand-aligned captions while maintaining each brand's unique voice and personality.
- Utilize AI tools to generate content ideas, captions, hashtags, and campaign concepts.
- Manage and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting.
- Coordinate content planning across multiple brands and campaigns.
AI-Enhanced Creative Production
- Design visually appealing static graphics, motion graphics, and carousel posts using Canva and AI-powered design tools.
- Edit and produce short-form video content using tools such as CapCut Pro, Runway, or similar platforms.
- Use generative AI platforms such as Midjourney, DALL·E, and related tools for concept development and creative ideation.
- Repurpose existing content into multiple formats to maximize reach and engagement across channels.
- Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and social media content trends.
Community & Review Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and direct inquiries across social platforms in a timely manner.
- Manage and respond professionally to Yelp and Google Business Profile reviews within 24 hours.
- Build and nurture online communities through meaningful engagement.
- Identify opportunities to engage with local creators, influencers, and partner pages.
- Source and highlight user-generated content and brand mentions for reposting and community engagement.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators including reach, engagement, follower growth, impressions, and content performance.
- Prepare monthly performance reports using AI-powered reporting tools and dashboards.
- Analyze social media trends and campaign results to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve engagement, audience growth, and content effectiveness.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation. (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Proven experience managing multiple social media accounts and brands simultaneously.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, and other content creation tools.
- Familiarity with AI-powered marketing and creative tools, including ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio, Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of social media platform best practices and algorithm trends.
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Experience with Yelp and Google Business Profile management is highly preferred.
