Client Overview
Our client operates a restaurant and catering business that provides food services for events and daily operations. They are seeking support to manage the growing volume of catering inquiries and operational tasks.
Schedule

Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Manage email correspondence and respond to catering inquiries within 12 hours
- Create and manage catering invoices and proposals using the point-of-sale system
- Build and configure menu items for specials, events, and catering orders in the POS system
- Coordinate with clients on catering details and create banquet event orders for kitchen staff
- Upsell catering packages and suggest additional items such as desserts or beverage options
- Maintain organized records of all catering transactions and client communications
- Handle general operational and administrative tasks as assigned by the business owner
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Previous experience as an operational or administrative assistant
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically when building menus or proposals with multiple connected elements
- Customer service experience with ability to upsell and make recommendations
Qualifications
- Experience with Toast POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems
- Background in catering or restaurant operations
- Familiarity with creating banquet event orders or catering documentation
