Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy across all financial processes.
You will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting critical reporting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment scheduling
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Prepare and file Sales Tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
Lead and execute Month-End Close processes (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)
Support Year-End Close, including audit preparation and financial reporting
Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls (e.g., GAAP)
Collaborate cross-functionally while maintaining the ability to work independently
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience (Senior-level exposure required)
Strong experience in:
Accounts Payable (AP)
General Ledger (GL)
Sales Tax preparation
Month-end and year-end close processes
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple priorities with high urgency and efficiency
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
