Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Mid-Level Accountant (Xero Experience) to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the primary finance support, collaborating directly with the internal finance team and the CFO to build and document finance processes while handling both transactional and reporting responsibilities.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time, with 1 hour break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable processes on a daily basis
- Perform credit card and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Process incoming and outgoing payments and issue remittance advices
- Prepare and deliver month-end financial reports and closing entries
- Handle ad hoc financial tasks and support the broader finance function as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records within the accounting system
- Participate in onboarding training via video calls and potentially in-house sessions
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with 3–5 years of experience in a similar finance role
- Proficiency in Xero for managing day-to-day accounting operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
