Overview
Take full ownership of the social media marketing strategy for a mission-driven nature conservation firm to drive authority, brand awareness, and inbound leads. In this director-level role, you will build thought leadership, elevate executive branding, and independently run an end-to-end content engine across LinkedIn and Instagram. It’s a high-autonomy, remote opportunity designed for a strategic self-starter ready to make a tangible environmental impact.
Schedule

Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (with weekly catch-ups, Eastern Time, Canada, 20 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end social media marketing strategy across LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Create daily content that balances conservation good news stories with organizational brand awareness.
- Build and maintain executive branding and thought leadership content to drive inbound sales.
- Design high-quality visual content with exceptional attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Transition existing follower base from passive audience to engaged prospects who understand the organization's services.
- Make independent executive decisions on content direction, messaging, and posting strategy.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and core values without requiring multiple rounds of edits.
- Analyze performance data and optimize content strategy based on engagement and conversion metrics.
- Manage the full content calendar and maintain consistent posting schedules.
- Adapt quickly to the nature conservation industry through self-directed learning.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience in director-level or senior social media marketing roles with full strategy ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make executive decisions without constant oversight.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in visual design and written content.
- Strong graphic design skills and ability to create professional, branded visual content.
- Experience building thought leadership and executive branding content.
- Ability to transition brand positioning and audience engagement strategies.
- Track record of taking initiative and being a self-starter who runs with responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to learn new industries quickly.
- Experience managing social media for professional services or B2B organizations.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
