Graphic Designer (Custom Apparel)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a versatile Graphic Designer to create compelling visual assets across both print and digital channels. In this role, you will design marketing materials, promotional assets, embroidery/print artwork, website graphics, and educational content that resonate with a global customer base of makers and decorators. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for typography, layout, and visual branding, along with an understanding of (or willingness to learn) apparel decoration and print processes.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Promotional Design: Create visually engaging print and digital assets, including social media graphics, email templates, digital ad banners, brochures, trade show signage, and product catalogs.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve the brand identity across all customer touchpoints and visual collateral.
  • Apparel & Print Artwork: Produce and optimize vector designs, digitizing-friendly artwork, and print-ready files for use with embroidery, DTG, DTF, heat transfer, and screen printing equipment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, video production, e-commerce, and product teams to translate campaign concepts into high-impact visual assets.
  • Content & UI/UX Support: Assist in creating landing page graphics, web banners, and visual content for educational blogs, guides, and tutorials aimed at helping clients succeed.
  • Asset Management: Organize, manage, and maintain an organized digital asset library for internal and external team use.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience/portfolio).
  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere Pro/After Effects is a plus).
  • Design Fundamentals: Strong foundation in layout, color theory, typography, and brand design.
  • Production Knowledge: Experience preparing print-ready files (vector artwork, CMYK color spaces, bleed/bleed-lines) for commercial printing or apparel decoration.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating diverse design projects across digital and print mediums.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Basic knowledge of embroidery digitizing software.
  • Experience in the custom apparel, textiles, printing, or hardware manufacturing industries.
  • Motion graphics or basic video editing skills.
  • Experience with web design platforms (e.g., Shopify, WordPress, Figma).
