IT Administrator – Mobile Device Management (MDM) & Systems Support

Position Summary
We are looking for an IT Administrator to manage a company's Apple device fleet (iPhones issued to field technicians) and support legacy business systems such as fleet/GPS tracking software. This role ensures devices are properly enrolled, configured, secured, and maintained, while also providing ongoing systems administration support.

Schedule: 20 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST

Primary Responsibilities

Mobile Device Management

  • Manage the company's Apple device fleet using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and an MDM platform (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or Microsoft Intune)
  • Handle device enrollment, configuration profiles, app deployment, and remote management for iPhones issued to field technicians
  • Set up and maintain Managed Apple IDs, enforce security policies, and manage user/device role assignments
  • Troubleshoot device issues, push updates, and manage device lifecycle (assignment, retrieval, wipe, reassignment)
  • Maintain compliance and security standards across the device fleet

Legacy & Business Systems Support

  • Administer and support legacy systems including fleet/GPS tracking software (e.g., Verizon Connect)
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Support integration between MDM, fleet management, and any other operational software used by field and office staff

General IT Support

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to office and field staff
  • Document processes, maintain accurate records of enrolled devices and licenses
  • Recommend improvements to device and systems management as the company scales

Qualifications

  • Experience managing Apple devices via ABM and an MDM solution (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, Intune, or similar)
  • Familiarity with fleet/telematics software (Verizon Connect experience a strong plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting and vendor coordination skills
  • Comfortable supporting a mix of modern (Apple/MDM) and legacy business systems
  • Excellent communication skills for supporting non-technical field staff
