Overview:

Our client is looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Growth Specialist (Content & Short-Form Video) to build and launch their company's social media presence from scratch. In this role, you will collaborate with a business partner who provides raw video content, managing everything from editing short-form video to posting, community engagement, and basic email customer support. This role is expected to evolve and expand as the business grows.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM EST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Edit and prepare raw video footage and reels for publishing across social media platforms
• Schedule and post daily content while optimizing for platform algorithms and peak engagement times
• Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and incoming leads
• Conduct competitor and industry research to inform social media strategy and identify trends
• Perform monthly analytics and reporting to evaluate content performance and adjust strategy accordingly
• Handle customer inquiries via email, including troubleshooting access issues, manually granting product access, and guiding customers through FAQ-based responses
• Collaborate with the business partner who provides on-camera content and raw footage
• Identify and reach out to influencers and potential collaboration partners in the crafting space

Requirements:

• Proven experience in social media management, including content scheduling and community engagement
• Ability to edit short-form video content such as reels to a professional standard
• Understanding of social media algorithms, hashtag strategy, and aesthetic page curation
• Strong written communication skills with a friendly and professional tone
• Proactive mindset with the ability to leverage AI tools for research and content efficiency
• High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
