Overview
Our client is looking for a CAD Designer to support their engineering and product development team in producing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings. In this role, you will help drive the design process from concept through production while maintaining clear technical documentation and Bills of Materials. It is an ideal position for a detail-oriented professional skilled in Autodesk Fusion who thrives in a collaborative, distributed environment.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm UK time

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Fusion.
• Collaborate with the Product Design team to develop concepts, prototypes, and technical documentation.
• Revise and maintain existing technical drawings, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Communicate design progress, identify missing information, and proactively resolve design issues.
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and support production teams with technical clarifications when required.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements to product functionality, manufacturability, and safety.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a CAD Design role within a manufacturing, engineering, or product development environment.
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Fusion (Fusion 360).
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating production-ready technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous CAD projects, technical drawings, and 3D models is required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to seek clarification when requirements are unclear.
