Job Overview:

Join a growing residential construction company as an HVAC CAD Designer. In this full-time remote role, you will create detailed HVAC system designs and layouts for residential tract home projects, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong experience in HVAC drafting and design using CAD software, a solid understanding of residential mechanical systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Remote, Full Time | Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed HVAC system designs and layouts using CAD software for residential tract homes
• Interpret construction plans and translate them into accurate HVAC design drawings
• Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes and energy efficiency requirements
• Coordinate with the estimating team to align designs with project budgets and specifications
• Revise and update drawings based on builder feedback or plan changes

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in CAD design for HVAC systems in residential construction
• Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork layout, load calculations, and system sizing
• Familiarity with U.S. residential building codes and mechanical standards
• Strong written communication skills for remote collaboration
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
