Job Overview:
Our client is looking for an experienced US HR Operations Manager to deliver their HR roadmap and provide ongoing HR administrative support. This is a hands-on role for an independent self-starter who can take ownership of projects, develop practical plans, coordinate stakeholders and deliver high-quality work with minimal management. The role will work closely with the Chief Strategy & Risk Officer, Trusted Advisors, PEO and people managers.
Schedule:
Part-time (20 hours per week) US Central Time Business Hours
Responsibilities:
- Deliver the 30-60-90 day HR roadmap and maintain project plans, timelines and action trackers.
- Coordinate HR compliance and infrastructure projects, including I-9 follow-up, employment law notices, employee records, job descriptions and policy implementation.
- Follow up with stakeholders, identify risks and delays, and ensure projects move through to completion.
- Ensure completed projects are transitioned into sustainable ongoing processes.
- Coordinate the review and update of job descriptions.
- Build and implement a consistent post-offer onboarding process.
- Draft and update HR policies, procedures, manager guides, employee communications and training materials.
- Produce polished executive summaries, presentations and practical implementation tools.
- Maintain HR records and support routine administration across TriNet, PurelyHR and ShareFile.
- Support onboarding, leave tracking, performance review cycles, employee changes and offboarding.
- Prepare regular HR project and administrative updates.
- Support managers and employees with clear, practical guidance.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in HR operations, people operations, HR generalist work or HR project delivery.
- Experience independently managing HR projects from planning through implementation.
- Strong experience in onboarding, HR administration, employee records and policy documentation.
- Experience supporting a US-based or multi-state workforce.
- Working knowledge of core US HR compliance, including I-9 administration, employment notices, employee classification, leave and personnel records.
- Experience working with a PEO, HRIS or payroll provider.
- Strong project management, stakeholder coordination and written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills, with the ability to produce polished executive-level documents.
- Experience with TriNet, PurelyHR, ShareFile or similar systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
- HR qualifications such as SHRM, HRCI, CIPD or equivalent are desirable.

- Able to introduce structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Working Arrangement:
- Reports to the Chief Strategy & Risk Officer.
- Initial focus will be delivery of the 30-60-90 day HR roadmap.
- The role will then continue with ongoing HR administration and further people infrastructure projects.
- An initial six-month contract is preferred, with potential to extend based on business needs and performance.
Measures of Success:
- The 30-60-90 day roadmap is delivered substantially on time.
- Immediate HR compliance actions are completed and documented.
- Job descriptions are reviewed, approved, and implemented.
- A consistent post-offer onboarding process is operating.
- HR records and documents are accurate, organised, and easy to access.
- Managers have clear guidance and practical tools.
- Policies and training materials are professional, clear, and ready to use.
- Risks and delays are identified early.
- Senior leadership requires minimal day-to-day involvement.
- Ongoing HR administration is completed accurately and reliably.
