Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build, stabilize, and scale a modern AI-powered SaaS platform. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who can work across the full technology stack—from React/TypeScript and interactive user interfaces to ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, background services, APIs, AI workflows, and Azure infrastructure. You will be responsible for delivering complete product capabilities, taking product requirements, and turning them into reliable end-to-end experiences across the frontend, API, database, background processing, integrations, testing, and deployment.

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time, with a one-hour unpaid break; Full-time role

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complete product features across React/TypeScript, ASP.NET Core, and PostgreSQL; turn partially implemented capabilities into reliable end-to-end user workflows; own features from definition through deployment and support.
  • Strengthen AI-assisted experiences across Chat, App Studio, agent execution, organizational design, and knowledge retrieval; work with LLM gateways, structured generation, RAG, and AI evaluation; improve reliability, recovery, and error handling for long-running AI operations.
  • Work extensively with PostgreSQL, data modeling, row-level security, pgvector, and graph-oriented data while preserving tenant isolation, approval workflows, and inline policy enforcement.
  • Improve background workers, event-driven execution, SSE, and long-running job orchestration; strengthen failure handling, observability, system resiliency, and automated testing.
  • Maintain strong authentication, authorization, multi-tenancy, and data security practices; work with enterprise technologies including Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, OAuth, and Webhooks.
  • Help transition the Azure environment (Container Apps, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Database for PostgreSQL) toward a secure, repeatable production operating model.
  • Work directly with the founder/product lead to translate product intent into practical technical solutions, breaking initiatives into small, reviewable, production-quality releases.

Requirements:

  • Professional software development experience with demonstrated depth in building and maintaining complex systems.
  • Strong experience with either C#/ASP.NET Core or React/TypeScript, with the ability and willingness to work effectively across both frontend and backend.
  • Demonstrated experience owning features from product definition through database, API, user interface, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong PostgreSQL and data-modeling experience.
  • Experience with asynchronous processing, background jobs, streaming interfaces, or distributed workflows.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, multi-tenancy, secrets management, and sensitive customer data.
  • Ability to navigate and improve an existing, complex codebase without unnecessarily rewriting it.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills across multiple application layers.
  • Strong product mindset focused on successful user workflows and excellent written communication skills for technical decisions and verification steps.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving product environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI & Intelligent Systems (Production AI systems, RAG, AI agents, tool use, model evaluation, grounding, knowledge retrieval, and model failure handling).
  • Experience with Enterprise SaaS (Multi-tenant SaaS platforms, strict tenant isolation, compliance-sensitive applications, and enterprise auth).
  • Experience within the Microsoft Ecosystem (Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Entra ID, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Active Directory, File-system ACLs).
  • Experience with Data & Knowledge Systems (Organizational graphs, graph databases, knowledge management systems, vector search).
  • Experience with Workflow & Operations (Workflow engines, approval systems, audit trails, policy engines, background processing).
  • Experience with Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure production operations, infrastructure automation, production deployment, and monitoring).
  • Experience with Product Development (Visual editors, graph canvases, workflow builders, dashboards, early-stage or founder-led development).

Likely Priorities During the First Six Months:

  • Contribute significantly to major product areas: Onboarding and activation, App Studio, Organizational design, Agent workflows, Dashboards, Insights, Workflow execution, and Platform services.
  • Replace remaining stubs and transitional workflow paths.
  • Improve recovery, resumability, progress reporting, and error handling for long-running AI operations.
  • Expand end-to-end testing for tenant isolation, approvals, integrations, and critical browser workflows.
  • Help transition the Azure environment toward a secure production operating model.
  • Reduce architectural and operational friction to enable faster, safer future feature delivery.

Core Technology Stack:

  • Backend: C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Background workers, Event-driven execution, Long-running job orchestration, Server-Sent Events (SSE).
  • Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Component-based design systems.
  • Database & Data: PostgreSQL, Row-Level Security (RLS), pgvector, Data modeling, Graph-oriented data.
  • AI & Machine Learning: LLM gateways, Structured generation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Tool execution, AI agents, AI evaluation, Knowledge retrieval, Model failure handling.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure Container Apps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
  • Enterprise Integrations: Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, OAuth, Webhooks, and Enterprise connectors.

Independent Contractor Perks:

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
