Overview:

Our client is a growing construction company specializing in flooring installation and supply, working with multiple construction companies across their region. They are expanding their remote team to support their accounts receivable operations and ensure consistent cash flow management.

As an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist (B2B | Construction), you will own the entire collections process for a busy construction company, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure timely payment from general contractors. This is a relationship-focused accounts receivable role focused on proactively following up on outstanding invoices, gathering payment timeline updates, and keeping financial records current to directly support the company's cash flow and financial health.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily outbound calls to general contractors to collect outstanding payments
• Follow up consistently on accounts receivable timelines and secure payment commitments
• Request and document payment timeline updates from clients
• Update accounting ledgers with collection activity and payment information
• Maintain organized records of all collection communications and outcomes
• Provide regular status updates on outstanding receivables to management
• Build professional relationships with contractor accounts payable departments
• Escalate payment issues appropriately when collection efforts stall

Must-Have Requirements:

•  Excellent spoken English with clear, professional verbal communication skills 
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or collections
• Strong phone communication skills and professional telephone manner
• Experience working with construction companies or B2B collections
• Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls daily
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge and ledger maintenance experience
• Reliable internet connection for remote work

• Experience in the construction or flooring industry
• Familiarity with construction payment cycles and terms
• Experience with accounting software platforms
