Job Overview
We're looking for a Sales Coordinator to keep the sales engine running behind the scenes. While the field sales team is out selling, your job is to make sure everything behind them is clean, accurate, and ready to go.
That means owning the Salesforce CRM, generating customer quotes, keeping pricing up to date across 12 manufacturers, and being the go-to person when a sales rep needs a report, a lead entered, or a question answered. You'll work directly with the General Manager, and you'll be part of an active project to make Salesforce work harder for the business, with external developer support already in place.
You don't need to be a Salesforce guru on day one. You need to be organised, sharp with detail, and comfortable owning a system that a whole sales team depends on. If you want to build serious CRM skills in a role where you're genuinely valued, this is a good place to do it.
Client Overview
Our client sells meat processing machinery across Australia for 12 manufacturers, mostly from Germany and Spain. They've been doing it for 50 years. The team is 24 people, turnover is $13-15 million, and staff tend to stay for a long time. It's a stable, well-run business with a reputation built on service and long-term client relationships.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM AEST (flexible to 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), with 1 hour paid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Manage Salesforce data entry, lead management, opportunity tracking, and account administration
- Generate customer quotes in QuoteCloud, including product configurations, pricing, brochures, and videos
- Work with the Sales Director on quote reviews and revisions before anything goes to a customer
- Maintain pricing spreadsheets for 12 manufacturers, updating costs, discounts, shipping, and import fees as supplier information changes
- Handle daily requests from the field sales team: address lookups, sales history reports, lead entry, general inquiries
- Clean up and standardise CRM data as the company moves documents from Salesforce to SharePoint
- Support the Salesforce optimisation project by keeping data quality high and following new workflows
- Help the sales team adopt CRM best practices and assist with training as new processes roll out
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM, including real data management responsibility
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of keeping data accurate across multiple systems
- Experience generating quotes or working with pricing in a B2B environment
- Solid Excel skills for maintaining pricing spreadsheets
- Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with an internal team
Nice to have:
- Experience with QuoteCloud or a similar quoting platform
- Exposure to ERP systems like Navision
- Involvement in Salesforce optimisation, automation, or data migration projects
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or equipment sales
Independent Contractor Perks
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
- Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
