Revenue Growth & Business Development Lead

Revenue Growth & Business Development Lead

Sales Systems • Business Development • Deal Closing

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on revenue builder and closer who can look at what we already have, determine how it should be sold, build the system that sells it, and personally help close the business. This person will work to turn existing programs, services, intellectual property, content, and market credibility into a repeatable revenue engine.

This is not a role for someone who needs a finished sales process handed to them. The person in this seat is expected to assess the portfolio, identify the strongest buyers and sales motions, create the funnel and CRM infrastructure, launch outreach and campaigns, nurture opportunities, conduct sales conversations, and move qualified prospects through signed agreements and collected revenue.

CORE OUTCOME:

Build a measurable, repeatable system that creates qualified opportunities and converts

them into profitable client contracts across our priority offers and brands.

Responsabilities

1. Portfolio Commercialization & Go-to-Market Design

  • • Audit our existing programs, services, offers, brands, websites, sales materials, content, lead sources, and current sales infrastructure.

  • Determine the strongest buyer, use case, buying trigger, positioning, and commercial path for each priority offer.

  • Recommend how offers should be packaged, positioned, sequenced, bundled, or prioritized when changes would improve sales performance.

  • Create practical go-to-market playbooks for priority offerings, including target accounts, decision-makers, messaging, channels, funnel path, follow-up cadence, and close strategy.

  • Distinguish which offers should be sold through enterprise outreach, relationship-based business development, referrals/partnerships, campaigns, events, funnels, or a combination of channels.

2. Revenue Systems, CRM, Funnels & Automation

  • Design, build, and maintain the CRM structure needed to run the revenue operation, including pipelines, stages, lead routing, fields, task automation, follow-up rules, dashboards, and reporting.

  • Build or refine landing pages, lead-capture forms, opt-ins, calendars, simple funnels, nurture paths, and conversion flows without relying on developer support for routine changes.

  • Create automated email and follow-up sequences for new leads, warm prospects, no-response prospects, stalled opportunities, event leads, referrals, and re-engagement campaigns.

  • Use platforms such as GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels, or comparable CRM/funnel systems to connect prospecting, nurturing, sales activity, and reporting.

  • Continuously improve the system based on where prospects drop off, where deals stall, and which messages or channels convert.

  • Build targeted prospect lists and conduct proactive outreach through email, LinkedIn, telephone, referral networks, partnerships, and other appropriate channels.

  • Create and test sales messaging, outreach scripts, email sequences, landing-page copy, campaign copy, calls to action, and follow-up content that move prospects toward a conversation or purchase.

  • Curate and repurpose existing founder/company content into prospecting assets, nurture content, sales collateral, social campaigns, and account-specific follow-up when useful.

  • Launch and manage organic and, where appropriate, paid lead-generation campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, Google, email, or other channels selected for the target buyer.

  • Coordinate with design, content, or technical support when specialized assets are needed, while remaining accountable for the revenue purpose and conversion path.

4. Sales, Business Development & Deal Closing

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospect identification and first contact through qualification, discovery, proposal, negotiation, signed agreement, initial payment, and handoff.

  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations that identify the business problem, buying process, stakeholders, budget, urgency, and best-fit offering.

  • • Lead pricing conversations, objection handling, proposal follow-up, negotiation, and closing with confidence and sound commercial judgment.

  • Develop relationships with enterprise leaders, HR/talent decision-makers, institutional buyers, federal or public- sector contacts where relevant, partners, and referral sources.

  • Bring the founder or subject-matter expert into strategically important conversations when their expertise materially advances the opportunity, while continuing to own next steps and follow-through.

  • Identify cross-sell, upsell, renewal, referral, and partnership opportunities after an initial relationship is established.

5. Revenue Accountability & Optimization

  • Own a defined revenue/bookings target and maintain an accurate view of pipeline value, probability, next steps, and forecasted close dates.

  • Report honestly on activity, qualified pipeline, conversion rates, sales-cycle velocity, lead sources, campaign performance, cost per qualified opportunity, cost per close, and collected revenue.

  • Diagnose weak points in the commercial system and make changes to targeting, offers, messaging, automation, campaigns, or follow-up based on evidence.

  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene so every active opportunity has a stage, owner, next action, due date, notes, and

measurable outcome.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a content-only or social-media marketing role. Content is used to support demand generation and sales.

  • Not an appointment-setter role. This person must be capable of leading discovery, handling objections, negotiating, and closing.

  • Not a CRM administrator role. This person builds systems and maintains them to produce revenue, not as an end in themselves.

  • Not a strategy-only consulting role. The person must personally execute, test, follow up, and sell.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant B2B sales, business development, revenue growth, or consultative selling experience preferred; exceptional candidates with equivalent demonstrated results will be considered.

  • Revenue Growth & Business Development Lead • 2026 2• Documented record of personally originating and closing business, carrying a revenue or booking target, and explaining quota attainment, average deal size, sales cycle, and notable wins.

  • Exceptional command of spoken and written English is required. The successful candidate must communicate clearly, confidently, professionally, and persuasively with U.S.-based executives, organizational decision-makers, prospective clients, and partners by phone, video, email, written proposals, and presentations.

  • Spoken communication must be readily understandable in client-facing business conversations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build or materially improve a revenue system from the ground up—not only work inside a mature system created by others.

  • Hands-on experience creating CRM pipelines, automations, email sequences, funnels, landing pages, and lead-management workflows in GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels, or similar platforms.

  • Strong outbound prospecting and relationship-development capability across email, LinkedIn, phone, partnerships, referrals, and networking.

  • Strong sales copy and messaging skills: able to translate a program or service into buyer-specific outreach, campaign language, landing-page copy, follow-up, and proposals.

  • Experience selling professional services, consulting, training, leadership/talent solutions, coaching, SaaS with a consultative sales motion, or another complex/intangible B2B solution strongly preferred.

  • Comfort with longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving enterprise, institutional, or public-sector buyers is strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of organic and paid digital lead generation; sufficient capability to launch, evaluate, and optimize campaigns or direct specialized support when needed.

Required Professional Characteristics

  • Commercially minded and strategically curious: quickly understands what an offer does, who needs it, why they would buy, and what would move them to act.

  • Builder mentality: comfortable creating process, messaging, workflows, and systems where little structure currently exists.

  • Self-directed and accountable: can move from direction to execution without daily supervision.

  • Resilient and persistent: comfortable with rejection, follow-up, ambiguity, and longer sales cycles.

  • Organized and precise: keeps CRM records, follow-up dates, proposals, and forecasts current without reminders.

  • Trustworthy, honest, and direct: represents our offerings accurately and does not overpromise simply to close a deal.

  • Confidential and professional with client information, pricing, internal strategy, and proprietary intellectual property.

  • Dependable and precise in working hours, meetings, reporting, and follow-up commitments; records time worked accurately and follows required clock-in/clock-out procedures.

  • Must be available for sufficient overlap with U.S. business hours to conduct prospecting, discovery calls, sales meetings, follow-up, and other client-facing activities as required.

Integrity, Ethics & Timekeeping Standards

  • Conduct all work honestly, ethically, professionally, and lawfully. Represent the company, its programs, pricing, capabilities, and expected outcomes accurately; do not use deceptive claims, manipulation, misrepresentation, or unethical pressure tactics to obtain a sale.

  • Maintain complete and accurate time records. Clock in when work begins and clock out when work ends, and record all working time in accordance with company procedures. Do not inflate, fabricate, guess, or knowingly misstate hours worked or time spent on assigned work.

  • Revenue Growth & Business Development Lead • 2026 3• Maintain truthful business records. CRM activity, prospecting activity, pipeline status, forecasts, campaign results, expenses, client communications, and performance reporting must reflect what actually occurred. Do not fabricate calls, contacts, meetings, leads, opportunities, results, or other work activity.

  • Promptly disclose and correct genuine mistakes in timekeeping, reporting, or records. Knowingly falsifying time records, company records, sales activity, expenses, or client information is considered a serious integrity violation and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination, consistent with company policy and applicable law.

Success Metrics

  • Signed business, completed client engagements, and collected eligible revenue against target.

  • Qualified pipeline created and pipeline coverage against target.

  • Lead-to-opportunity, opportunity-to-close, and overall lead-to-close conversion rates.

  • Average sales cycle and movement of qualified opportunities through the pipeline.

  • Cost per qualified opportunity and cost per close for campaigns with attributable spend.

  • Performance by lead source, campaign, offer, buyer segment, and channel.

  • Forecast accuracy, follow-up discipline, and CRM hygiene.

  • Renewal, expansion, referral, and cross-sell revenue where applicable.

Immediate Expertise & Ramp-Up Expectations

  • This is an experienced, hands-on role requiring the ability to contribute quickly. The successful candidate must already possess strong practical expertise in B2B sales, business development, CRM/funnel systems, automation, lead generation, and sales follow-up. This is not a training-level position for these core responsibilities.

  • The person hired must be able to quickly assess our existing brands, programs, content, systems, and sales assets; identify commercial opportunities and gaps; and begin building, launching, testing, and improving revenue- generating systems with minimal supervision.

  • A learning curve for our specific brands, intellectual property, and offerings is expected. A significant learning curve for the underlying sales, CRM, funnel, automation, and business-development skills is not. Compensation & Performance Incentives

  • • This role is paid a base hourly rate for time actually worked and may also be eligible for individual and/or shared team performance bonuses. Bonuses are based on qualifying business results and recognize that generating, selling, developing, and fulfilling client work is a collaborative effort.

  • • Bonus eligibility and payment occur only after the applicable client work has been completed and the company has received and retained the qualifying client payment. Signed contracts, bookings, or unpaid invoices alone do not qualify.

  • Specific bonus percentages, allocation among eligible team members, and payout terms will be defined in the applicable written compensation plan.

Application Requirements

  • Resume plus a concise summary of sales results: targets carried, quota attainment, average or representative deal sizes, typical sales cycles, and notable deals personally closed.

  • One example of a revenue/sales system you built or materially improved, including the CRM/funnel/automation components and the business outcome.

  • Revenue Growth & Business Development Lead • 2026 4• Examples of outreach, sales copy, email sequences, landing pages, campaigns, funnels, or sales collateral you personally created.

  • A brief description of your sales process from identifying a prospect through signed agreement and collected revenue.

  • A short example of a time you were given an existing offer or service and had to determine how to position, market, generate pipeline for, and sell it.

  • Before the interview, review our brands and offerings thoroughly and be prepared to discuss where you see the strongest immediate commercial opportunities.

Interview Evidence We Will Evaluate

Finalists may be asked to complete a short, simulated working exercise during the interview process. The exercise is for assessment and will not be used as unpaid commercial work. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate

how they would:

  • Select and prioritize a target buyer for an existing offering

  • Create an initial outreach message and follow-up sequence.

  • Outline the funnel and CRM workflow supporting that sales motion.

  • Conduct a mock discovery conversation, handle objections, and define the next step toward close.

  • Explain what they would measure and how they would improve the system if conversion were weak.

The standard for this role is simple: can you take a strong offering, build the commercial system around it, create qualified demand, and turn that demand into signed and collected business?

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations (for full-time roles only)
