DME & Telehealth Insurance Verification Specialist – Parachute Health & Hubspot

Overview

The  DME & Telehealth Insurance Verification Specialist – Parachute Health  is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to the delivery of the client's telehealth and VR therapy services. This role ensures a smooth onboarding experience for patients while supporting clean claim submission and minimizing billing delays.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday 9 AM–6 PM EST; 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for DME and telehealth therapy services prior to enrollment.
  • Contact insurance carriers via phone, portal, or EDI to confirm coverage, deductibles, copays, and authorization requirements.
  • Accurately document verification results in the CRM and EMR/HER.
  • Coordinate with the billing and clinical teams to flag coverage gaps or prior authorization needs.
  • Communicate eligibility findings to patients and internal stakeholders clearly and timely manner
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies relevant to telehealth and durable medical equipment (DME) or digital therapeutics.
  • Support denial prevention by identifying eligibility-related issues before claims are submitted.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or a healthcare administrative role
  • Basic understanding of insurance terminology (EOB, COB, deductibles, out-of-pocket, prior authorization)
  • Strong experience working within Parachute Health.
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot, including managing tickets, pipelines, follow-up activities, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and payer portals
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with telehealth billing or digital health companies
  • Experience processing and managing healthcare/DME orders is strongly preferred.
