Job Overview
Our client is looking for a skilled, creative, and proactive Short-Form Video Editor to support an established Australian jewellery business with almost a decade of industry experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the client to transform ideas, product footage, campaign concepts, and raw assets into compelling short-form and marketing content for Instagram, TikTok, the website, Meta campaigns, Shopify-related marketing, and other digital channels.
Schedule
Flexible within client business hours, AU | 15 hours per week
Responsibilities
Video Editing & Production
- Edit short-form, mobile-first videos (Reels, TikTok, Facebook) for organic and paid campaigns.
- Highlight jewelry using engaging raw footage, UGC, lifestyle assets, hooks, captions, and music.
- Repurpose assets and produce varied creative hooks/CTAs for testing and performance.
- Align all output with brand aesthetic, visual identity, and platform formatting.
Social Media & Growth
- Create high-visibility, conversion-focused content (product showcases, BTS, trends, educational).
- Drive organic traffic, leads, and sales by optimizing for watch time, shares, and saves.
- Produce high-converting ad creative for Meta campaigns, seasonal promos, and product launches.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Proactively communicate progress, clarify priorities, flag potential delays early, and apply feedback.
- Independently manage deadlines, revisions, and workflows without constant supervision.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, Content Creator, Social Media Video Editor, or similar role.
- Experience creating short-form content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Experience using CapCut and Canva.
- Strong video editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating previous work.
- Strong understanding of social-media-first video editing.
- Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, transitions, captions, music, and storytelling.
- Proficiency with key platforms/tools: Canva, CapCut, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with fashion, jewellery, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, retail, or e-commerce brands.
- Experience creating content for Shopify businesses.
- Experience creating Meta Ads creatives and understanding of Facebook/Instagram advertising creative requirements.
- Experience creating UGC-style videos.
- Experience with product photography or basic graphic design.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation.
- Experience creating multiple creative variations for A/B testing.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce marketing funnels.
- Experience working with Australian businesses or international clients.
- Basic understanding of analytics such as views, engagement, watch time, CTR, or conversions.
