MSP Technical Support & Automation Specialist (Healthcare IT)

As an MSP Technical Support & Automation Specialist (Healthcare IT), you will be the first line of defense for a portfolio of healthcare clients, delivering remote technical support via email and phone while proactively monitoring systems to prevent issues before they arise. You will own the creation of internal documentation, contribute to backend scripting and automation, and communicate with clients in a clear, professional manner that builds lasting trust.

This is a part-time role with a manageable, steady workload — ideal for a detail-oriented IT professional who thrives in a structured environment and wants meaningful ownership over client outcomes from day one.

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support to healthcare clients via email and phone
  • Monitor system alerts and proactively address potential issues before they escalate
  • Create and maintain internal documentation to standardize processes across all client environments
  • Write and run backend scripts to improve system efficiency and automate routine tasks
  • Deliver clear, professional client communication to ensure high satisfaction and retention

Must-Have Requirements

  • Experience in IT helpdesk or Level 1 technical support within a managed services environment
  • Familiarity with MSP and RMM tools, preferably Enable
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security best practices in healthcare IT
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of attention to detail when handling sensitive client data

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Bonus if you have hands-on experience working within a virtual machine environment
  • It helps if you have prior exposure to 3CX or similar virtual phone systems
  • Bonus if you have experience writing or maintaining automation scripts in an MSP context
