Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Graphic Designer who can take brand guidelines and bring them to life across every piece of company stationery and template used day-to-day. This role focuses on interpreting an existing brief and identity, then executing it consistently and professionally across various formats — from Word documents to PowerPoint decks to printed materials.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, aligned with UK business hours; Project-based role, 40 work hours per week for a 12-week project
Responsibilities:
- Design and build a full suite of company "stationery," including letterheads, business cards, email signatures, and branded document covers.
- Create Word templates (reports, proposals, memos) that reflect the brand's look and feel and are easy for non-designers to use.
- Create PowerPoint templates (master slides, title/section layouts, chart and table styles) aligned to the brand.
- Apply an existing brand identity (colors, typography, logo usage, imagery style) consistently across all templates and assets.
- Execute ongoing brand or design changes as the identity evolves — updating templates, refreshing assets, and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Work from a creative brief or brand guideline document with minimal oversight, asking clarifying questions where needed rather than requiring the brand to be defined from scratch.
- Maintain an organized library of brand assets and templates so they're easy to find, update, and reuse.
- Ensure all deliverables are print- and digital-ready (correct color modes, resolutions, and file formats).
Requirements:
- A formal graphic design qualification (degree or equivalent).
- A portfolio of graphic design work demonstrating range and quality (required to be considered).
- Proven graphic design experience, ideally including work executing designs from a brand brief or style guide rather than only concept/identity creation.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) template design.
- C1-level (advanced) English proficiency, since the role includes copy work — writing and refining template text, placeholders, and brand-aligned wording.
- An eye for typography, layout, and consistency across formats.
- Ability to translate brand guidelines into polished, functional templates that hold up across different document types.
- Strong time management and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Receptive to feedback — able to take comments and review input on board and revise work so it stays aligned with the brand.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently once given a brief.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building templates for both print and digital use.
- Familiarity with brand guideline/style guide documentation.
- Experience with Canva or similar tools in addition to Adobe/Microsoft.
Independent Contractor Perks:
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
- Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
