Instructional Designer (Articulate Storyline 360)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer with strong Articulate Storyline skills to bring learning content to life. The selected candidate will take completed storyboards from the learning design team and build them into polished, interactive eLearning modules. This role is focused on development and production rather than instructional design from scratch, making it a great fit for someone who loves the craft of building in Storyline and has an eye for detail, interactivity, and learner experience.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday. 11:00 AM–4:00 PM EST + 3 flexible hours (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert approved storyboards into fully functional eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline, including layouts, navigation, branching, quizzes, and interactions as specified in the storyboard.
  • Build custom interactions, triggers, variables, and states to create engaging, learner-centered experiences.
  • Incorporate audio, video, animations, and graphics into modules according to storyboard direction.
  • Ensure modules meet Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and are optimized for SCORM/xAPI compliance and LMS delivery.
  • Test modules for functionality, ensuring smooth navigation, working triggers, and correct branching logic across browsers and devices.
  • Collaborate with learning designers, SMEs, and reviewers to incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within Storyline files.

Qualifications

  • Background in instructional design in a corporate setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360, including advanced features such as variables, triggers, layers, and custom interactions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate Storyline proficiency during a live demo.
  • Experience building eLearning from existing storyboards or design documents.
  • Solid understanding of SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS publishing workflows.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital learning content.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications precisely.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with designers and stakeholders.

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health insurance coverage for eligible locations
