Data Quality & Integrity Specialist

Job Overview:

Our client is searching for an experienced Data Quality & Integrity Specialist to join their Data Quality Control and Governance team. In this role, you will be responsible for correspondence (paper and/or electronic), independently researching data to identify trends and weaknesses, and executing data-cleaning processes while contributing to ongoing process improvements.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time; Full-time role

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on ensuring contract partners' data is accurate and complete.
  • Provide solutions to management and technology partners regarding process/system improvements, gaps in controls, and technology solutions.
  • Act as a Data Entry, Quality, and/or Management SME and an ambassador of Data Quality and Risk Management.
  • Participate in research efforts, including identifying remediation needs through independent research of approved third-party sources.
  • Precisely review and maintain data to ensure real-time accuracy.
  • Identify and report risks (including Information Security risks) to the appropriate teams and manage risks within your scope of work.
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use logical thinking to grasp system structures (Define, Approach, Evaluate, and Solve) and assess data sets for formatting and structural integrity.
  • Strong focus on thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize a high volume of records, manage competing deadlines, and ensure compliance.
  • Able to work independently, develop personal task documentation, and make sound, fact-based decisions.
  • Comfortable integrating new tools and approaches into existing workflows and accepting coaching to grow within the position.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and deliver clear, focused, and concise information.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to punctuality/attendance, and the ability to remain focused and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience related to data verification, management, and cleaning.
  • Data Management or Data Analyst degree or certification.
  • Proficient with MS Office, with a heavy emphasis on Excel for data manipulation, transformation, structure fixing, and automation.
  • Experience with Electronic Records Management Systems and technical aptitude for navigating software interfaces.
  • Background knowledge of fire safety systems and NFPA Codes and Regulations.
