Healthcare Receptionist
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Receptionist to manage client communications and intake processes for a growing home care agency. In this role, you will answer incoming calls, conduct client intake, and schedule appointments for nursing, massage therapy, and physiotherapy services. You will also verify insurance and credential details while maintaining accurate client records. The ideal candidate possesses a background in medical administration with a compassionate approach to communicating with elderly clients and their families. This full-time remote role operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls and serve as the first point of contact for potential and existing clients
- Conduct complete client intake processes, collecting all necessary information for follow-up
- Schedule and reschedule appointments for nursing services, massage therapy, and physiotherapy
- Verify credentials and insurance information as needed
- Maintain organized records of all client communications and appointments
- Answer client questions with compassion and professionalism, particularly when speaking with elderly individuals
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support the business owner by managing the central communication hub and reducing administrative burden
Must-Have Requirements
- One to two years of experience in healthcare reception, customer service, or medical administration
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with elderly clients and families
- Excellent attention to detail for managing scheduling, intake forms, and credential verification
- Proactive and organized approach to managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently while building processes in a growing company
- Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
Nice-to-Have Requirements
