Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Medical Intake Nurse fluent in German and English to be the first point of contact for patients seeking life-changing mental health treatment, playing a crucial role in their healing journey. As the initial greeter for every patient consultation, you will provide compassionate support to individuals who may have tried several treatments and are looking for hope. You will work with proprietary telehealth technology as part of a close-knit team making a meaningful impact on mental healthcare. This remote position offers an opportunity to help transform patients’ lives from the comfort of your home.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 12 AM EST or Saturday to Sunday, 8 AM to 9 PM EST; Full-time role, shifts may vary to ensure coverage

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients during telehealth consultations.
• Greet and assist German- and English-speaking patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
• Conduct comprehensive medical intake procedures for mental health patients.
• Review and verify patients’ government-issued identification documents.
• Review and assess patients’ medication histories.
• Combine medication history information with current patient evaluations.
• Communicate clearly and fluently with patients in both German and English.
• Provide compassionate support to patients with complex mental health histories.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience through telehealth interactions.
• Help maintain an efficient patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize care delivery.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain high standards of patient care.

Requirements:

• Fluent or eloquent proficiency in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Healthcare or medical background with direct patient care experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
• Demonstrated empathy and the ability to connect with patients experiencing mental health challenges.
• Confidence providing compassionate care through video and other telehealth platforms.
• Proficiency with Chrome and general computer technology.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and varying time slots.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Medical Assistant certification.
• Mental health or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Telehealth or remote patient care experience.
