AI Agent Engineer (Offshore)

About the Role
Datapath is expanding its AI Division to build and manage AI agents that automate real work for
our team and clients. This role is hands-on: you will stand up agent workflows on the latest AI
platforms. This is a build-and-operate role, not research — you will ship working agents and
keep them running.
What You'll Do
• Design, build, and maintain AI agents using current-generation platforms and models,
with an initial focus on tools including Grok (“Grokbot”), Hermes 2.0, and ChatGPT's
computer-use / activity-history capability (currently macOS only, Windows in development).
• Build and operate agents based on customer request and through automated “observer”
tools to identify automation opportunities.
• Turn observed activity patterns into concrete, prioritized automation recommendations,
then build the agents/workflows to deliver them.
• Evaluate new and emerging AI agent platforms and frameworks, and recommend which
are worth adopting.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve deployed agents for reliability, accuracy,
and cost. Datapath already employs several tools and automations to monitor and secure
agents and apps.
• Document agent designs, data flows, and safeguards clearly enough for non-technical
stakeholders to review.
• Partner with Datapath's AI Division and Security team to route any new tool, platform, or
vendor through internal review before it goes into production use.
What You'll Need
• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM-based automations in
production (not just prototypes).
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM platforms/APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic,
xAI/Grok, open models such as Hermes) and agent frameworks.
• Experience with activity-monitoring, RPA, or “computer-use” style tooling, or strong ability
to learn ChatGPT's computer-use feature quickly.
• Solid understanding of data security and privacy fundamentals — credential handling,
data minimization, and configurable exclusions/opt-outs.

• Strong written communication skills; comfortable documenting technical decisions for a
non-technical audience.
• Self-directed and comfortable working offshore/remote with US-based stakeholders and
overlapping meeting hours.
Nice to Have
• Background in IT services, MSP, or client-facing technology environments.
• Familiarity with AI governance/compliance concepts (data classification, vendor risk
review).
A Note on Tools & Compliance
Datapath maintains an approved-tools registry for AI platforms and vendors. Grokbot, Hermes
2.0, and ChatGPT's computer-use feature are not yet on that registry, so early work with them
will run as an AI Division–directed evaluation; broader production rollout will go through Security
and AI Division review before any client or regulated data touches these tools. This candidate
will work closely with that review process.
