Data Integration Specialist (Acumatica ERP)

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented full-time Data Integration Specialist to support two managed manufacturing entities. Reporting directly to company leadership, this remote role bridges the gap between operational data, system automation, and everyday software tools. You will be responsible for Acumatica ERP customization, building cross-platform integrations (ERP, production planning, Microsoft 365), establishing AI automations and staff training, overseeing remote IT governance, and constructing clean operational dashboards—all while keeping data strictly segregated between companies.

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Remote (supporting US Central Time / South Elgin, IL business hours)
  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Chicago, IL time - Includes 1-hour unpaid break (40-hours per week).

Responsibilities

  • Operational Metrics & Dashboards: Build and maintain separate and side-by-side dashboards covering budget vs. actual hours/materials, throughput, backlog, on-time delivery, and approval statuses.
  • Acumatica ERP Customization: Develop and maintain custom fields, screens, generic inquiries, reports, and workflows based on requirements from department leads.
  • System Integration & Automation: Connect Acumatica ERP, task/production planning software, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint to eliminate duplicate data entry and improve job-cost visibility.
  • AI Implementation & Training: Lead AI integration across departments, build practical AI automations to replace manual reporting, create guidelines, and train non-technical staff.
  • IT Policy, Security & Support: Oversee digital file structures, version controls, and access permissions while providing remote IT support (escalating hardware/network issues to third-party providers).
  • Data Support & Tooling: Assist staff with advanced Microsoft 365 data management, building rapid working tools, trackers, and reports.
  • Documentation & Governance: Thoroughly document data sources, calculations, field mappings, and change logs to ensure all tools and integrations remain sustainable over time.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
  • Strong business or technical understanding of manufacturing environments, including job costing, labor, and materials data.
  • Extensive experience implementing AI tools, building AI automations, and training non-technical team members.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 data skills, including Excel, Power Query, SharePoint, and Power Automate.
  • Working knowledge of IT governance, access controls, records management, and data security standards.
  • High level of urgency, accuracy, and self-discipline required to operate effectively in a remote capacity.

Highly Regarded Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP customization, workflows, and generic inquiries (training will be provided if needed).
  • Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, or REST APIs for data integration.
  • Prior experience managing multi-entity or shared-resource operations.

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations (for full-time roles only)

Note

  • Please click the "Apply" button to complete your application, including the assessment questions, technical check, and voice recording. Your hourly pay rate will be established based on your performance in the application process; submissions with all requirements fulfilled will receive priority review.
