E-Commerce Customer Service Specialist (Amazon & eBay)

Job Overview

We're looking for an E-Commerce Customer Service Specialist who will be the front line of customer satisfaction for a dynamic e-commerce business, handling all customer inquiries across Amazon UK and eBay. You'll manage approximately 15 messages daily (increasing during peak seasons), resolve issues ranging from product questions to returns and replacements, and coordinate courier collections for damaged items. This role gives you full ownership of the customer experience, working independently with direct access to courier portals and order management systems to deliver fast, effective solutions that keep customers happy and coming back.

Client Overview

Our client is a growing UK-based e-commerce company specializing in toys, swimming pools, and seasonal products. They sell across multiple platforms including Amazon UK and eBay, with peak seasons during the Christmas period and summer months (June-August). The company is transitioning to a new brand identity and streamlining operations to focus on their core profitable channels.

Schedule: Part-Time ( 20 hours per week) Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 12: 00 PM Greenwich Mean Time

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer messages on Amazon UK and eBay platforms daily
  • Process returns, refunds, and replacement requests for damaged or defective products
  • Arrange courier collections through courier portals for items requiring disposal or return
  • Track orders and shipments to provide customers with accurate delivery updates
  • Manage increased message volume during peak seasons (Christmas and summer months)
  • Use Linnworks order management system to process and track customer requests
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues related to toys, swimming pools, fans, and seasonal products
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and resolutions

Requirements

  • 1-2 years minimum of e-commerce customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Amazon Seller Central and eBay seller platforms
  • Experience handling returns, replacements, and refunds in an e-commerce environment
  • Comfortable using courier portals for tracking and arranging collections
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting

Qualifications

  • Bonus if you have experience with Linnworks order management system
  • It helps if you've worked in the toys or seasonal products industry
  • Experience managing high-volume customer inquiries during peak retail seasons is a plus
