About the Role:
This role is ideal for an ambitious sales professional who wants to grow from lead qualification and appointment setting into full ownership of the sales process. You will speak directly with parents and students who have enquired about tutoring or university admissions support. Your role will be to understand their needs, qualify opportunities, conduct discovery and sales calls, follow up with prospects, and convert suitable leads into clients. As part of our lean team, you'll also gain hands-on exposure to the wider business. This includes coordinating lessons, matching students with tutors, managing schedules, and supporting families with day-to-day enquiries. You will also have an opportunity to improve the systems behind the sales process, including CRM workflows, follow-up sequences, scripts, automation, and marketing copy.
About the Company:
The Company is a premium online tutoring and Oxbridge admissions consultancy supporting students and families across the UK and internationally. We work with a network of approximately 60 highly qualified tutors, around 90% of whom are Oxford or Cambridge graduates. Our founder is an Oxford graduate and built the business through the network and expertise developed during his time at Oxford. The company is experiencing strong growth, with a growing pipeline of enquiries and an expanding email database. We are looking for an Education Sales & Client Coordinator to help us convert this demand into new clients while building a scalable and effective sales process.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (with regular evening availability) (UK Time, 40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:

- Qualify prospective parents and students based on their needs, goals, budget, and suitability.
- Conduct discovery and sales calls with parents and students.
- Clearly communicate the company's tutoring and admissions services.
- Follow up consistently with all warm and qualified leads.
- Convert qualified prospects into paying clients.
- Track and manage opportunities throughout the sales pipeline.
- Develop strong relationships with parents and prospective clients.
- Client & Lesson Coordination
- Match students with appropriate tutors based on their academic requirements and goals.
- Schedule lessons and coordinate with tutors and families.
- Handle day-to-day questions and administrative requests from clients.
- Maintain accurate client and student information within the relevant systems.
- Use your understanding of the service and customer journey to improve sales conversations.
- Sales Process & Systems
- Help develop and improve sales scripts, processes, and follow-up sequences.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities within the sales funnel.
- Improve CRM workflows and lead-management processes.
- Use AI and automation tools to reduce repetitive manual work.
- Develop practical systems, tools, and workflows that improve sales efficiency.
- Work with data to identify opportunities for improving conversion and overall sales performance.
- Marketing & Copywriting
- Write and improve sales emails, follow-up messages, and other client communications.
- Contribute to marketing copy and lead-generation campaigns.
- Test messaging and approaches to improve engagement and conversion.
- Help develop content that speaks directly to the needs and concerns of parents.
What We’re Looking For:

- Confident and professional communication skills.
- Comfortable conducting sales conversations over the phone or video.
- Strong follow-up and pipeline management skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and identify the right solution.
- Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple leads and client requests.
- Education Industry Knowledge
- You should have a genuine interest in learning the UK education system and be comfortable developing knowledge of:

- GCSEs
- A-Levels
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- UK university admissions
- UCAS applications and timelines
- Oxbridge admissions
- University entrance examinations and requirements
- UK examination boards
- You should be able to confidently research and explain education-related questions to parents and students and continually develop your knowledge.
- Sales & Commercial Mindset
- We're looking for someone who understands why customers buy, particularly when the decision involves a child's education. You should be able to:
- Build trust with parents quickly.
- Ask effective discovery questions.
- Identify a family's underlying needs and concerns.
- Handle objections professionally.
- Communicate value rather than simply sell a service.
- Recognise buying signals and move qualified prospects toward a decision.
- Take ownership of your pipeline without needing constant supervision.
- AI, Automation & Systems
- We're particularly interested in candidates who enjoy improving how things work. You should be comfortable using AI tools and interested in automation. Experience building or improving any of the following would be valuable:
- AI-powered workflows
- CRM automations
- Zapier workflows
- Small internal tools or applications
- Automated follow-up systems
- Lead-management systems
- Reporting dashboards

Performance & Metrics:
You will be expected to take ownership of the numbers behind the sales process. This includes identifying and monitoring relevant metrics such as:
- Lead response time
- Contact rate
- Qualification rate
- Appointment booking rate
- Show-up rate
- Sales conversion rate
- Follow-up conversion
- Revenue generated
- Sales pipeline value
- Lead-to-client conversion time
You will use these insights to identify areas for improvement and continuously optimise the sales process.
Personal Attributes:
The ideal candidate is:
- Proactive – you take action without waiting to be told.
- Persistent – you consistently follow up with warm leads.
- Commercially minded – you understand the relationship between activity, conversion, and revenue.
- Customer-focused – you genuinely care about understanding and solving client needs.
- Curious – you enjoy learning about education, sales, technology, and new tools.
- Tech-savvy – you are comfortable learning new platforms and experimenting with AI and automation.
- Data-driven – you use numbers to understand what's working and what isn't.
- Resourceful – you look for solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
- Excellent communicator – you can communicate confidently with parents, students, and tutors.
Technology Stack:
We currently use:
- Notion
- TutorCruncher
- Zapier
- Allo
- Typeform
- MailerLite
- Pencil Spaces
- Claude
You don't need experience with every platform. What matters most is your ability to learn new tools quickly and use technology effectively.
Working Hours:
The role follows UK working hours, generally 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM UK time, with regular evening availability required. Evening availability is important because many parents are only available to speak after school and after work. Some of the most important sales conversations will therefore take place outside standard working hours.
What Success Looks Like:
In this role, success means:
- Responding quickly to new enquiries.
- Maintaining a healthy and well-managed sales pipeline.
- Consistently following up with prospects.
- Converting qualified leads into clients.
- Building trust with parents and students.
- Helping families find the right tutoring solution.
- Improving the sales process through data, systems, and automation.
- Gradually taking greater ownership of the company's sales function.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to grow beyond appointment setting and become a key owner of the sales function within a growing education business.

- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
- Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
