Video Editor (CapCut)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Video Editor who will be behind multiple fast-moving consumer brands, turning raw footage into scroll-stopping short and long-form videos that drive engagement and sales. Working closely with the founder in a collaborative, partnership-based relationship, you'll have creative input while maintaining brand consistency across three unique product lines. This is a hands-on role where your edits directly impact revenue, and your ability to produce high-quality video content efficiently will fuel the company's growth across social media, Amazon, and DTC channels.

Schedule: Remote, Part Time | Flexible schedule as long as there is some overlap hours with PST.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit 10-20 videos per month across three distinct beverage brands using CapCut in a shared account environment
  • Transform raw footage and started projects into polished short-form and long-form video content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
  • Add voiceovers, captions, and finishing touches to video content while maintaining each brand's unique look and feel
  • Collaborate with the founder in real-time on shared editing projects, incorporating feedback and making minor tweaks efficiently
  • Organize and manage raw footage, assets, and projects through Google Drive and shared documentation systems
  • Create supplemental marketing images and graphics using Canva when needed
  • Support social media content strategy by producing platform-optimized video formats
  • Maintain brand authenticity by minimizing AI-generated content and keeping a human-centered creative approach
  • Work independently on multiple brand projects simultaneously while meeting consistent monthly content quotas
  • Adapt editing style to match different brand identities and target audiences across the portfolio

Requirements:

  • Proven experience editing videos using CapCut with a strong portfolio of completed work
  • Demonstrated ability to produce 10-20 high-quality videos per month efficiently
  • Experience with short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, or similar social platforms
  • Comfortable working in shared accounts and collaborative editing environments
  • Strong organizational skills managing multiple projects through Google Drive and Google Docs
  • Ability to add voiceovers, captions, and text overlays to video content
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills for providing updates and receiving creative direction
  • Comfortable working with raw footage and partially completed projects that need finishing
  • Bonus: if you have experience with Canva for creating social media graphics and marketing images
  • Bonus: if you have social media management or content strategy experience
  • Bonus: if you're familiar with DTC and Amazon marketing content requirements
  • Nice to have: It helps if you've managed content for multiple brands simultaneously with different visual identities
  • Nice to have: It helps if you've worked with e-commerce or consumer product brands previously
