ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a growing property management organisation looking for a proactive Maintenance Coordinator to take ownership of maintenance across its property portfolio.
This is not a purely administrative role. You will assess issues, troubleshoot before escalating, challenge unnecessary callouts, coordinate contractors, control avoidable costs, and drive every maintenance request through to resolution.
The ideal candidate is technically minded, commercially aware, and confident making informed decisions. You will also help strengthen the contractor network, improve weekend coverage, and build a more efficient, scalable maintenance function.
ROLE OVERVIEW
You will own maintenance requests from initial report through to completion, ensuring issues are properly assessed, prioritised, coordinated, and resolved.
You will work closely with contractors, property stakeholders, and internal teams, using sound judgement to determine the right course of action while maintaining clear communication, strong follow-through, and cost awareness.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00AM-5:00 PM UK business hours (with 30-minute paid break) - 35hrs per week

- Identify process gaps and implement improvements that increase efficiency and reduce avoidable costs
KPI EXPECTATIONS
- Maintenance requests progressed and resolved within agreed service timelines
- Reduction in avoidable or unnecessary contractor callouts
- Strong contractor response times and job completion rates
- Accurate maintenance records and consistent follow-through on outstanding work
- Improved maintenance visibility, cost control, and operational efficiency
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in property management, maintenance coordination, hospitality, short-term rentals, facilities, or a related operational environment
- Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, or service providers
- Commercial awareness and confidence assessing whether a callout is genuinely required
